The NOC Business Support Analyst/Dispatcher is responsible for working with Outside Plant teams to ensure timeliness of restoration of services during outage situations. Assisting commercial customers with billing/services issues. Conduct continuous monitoring of issues in the plant and define necessary reporting and metrics needed to accurately monitor the headend and plant.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The NOC Business Support Analyst/Dispatcher primary responsibility is providing effective support to the business and Outside Plant teams: Proactively monitoring and troubleshooting and resolution using various software monitoring programs, Alarm handling and escalation to proper departments, Remedy service/revenue impacting network issues with analysis and resolution, Communicating with tech support/3rd party from OSP within the company, Coordinate schedule of various work orders in most effective manner Use software programs to direct/alert Outside Plant teams to appropriate areas with issues/work orders, Work with remote technicians to install/troubleshoot services, Assess situations/trends and prioritize calls, Proactively address problems & suggest solutions, and Maintain records of all actions/events in accordance with NOC policies and procedures including problem documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

A NOC Business Support Analyst/Dispatcher requires either a bachelor’s degree with qualifications in network engineering or equivalent telecommunications related fields.

• Excellent oral communication skills, writing and presentation skills. • Ability to interact across teams in a professional, articulate manner. • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Multitasker/ Technical experience as well a knowledge of cable plant operations.
